Privacy Policy

How PDF Master Pro collects, uses, and protects your data.

Effective 11 June 2026DPDP Act 2023IT Act 2000Google Play compliant
PDF Master Pro ("the App", "we", "our", "us") is operated by Sid Sharmaji (sidsarmaji.in). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the App on the web or via the Google Play Store. It is published in accordance with the Information Technology Act 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 of India, and the disclosure requirements of the Google Play User Data Policy.

1. Information We Process

  • Documents & images you open. Processed locally in your device's browser (scanning, OCR, merge, split, conversion, signing). Stored only in on-device storage (IndexedDB). We never upload your files to our servers.
  • Account information (optional). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and avatar. We never receive your password.
  • AI Assistant content (optional). When you ask the AI a question, the selected page text and your prompt travel over HTTPS to our AI provider, used only to generate the reply. Not used for training, not retained beyond the response.
  • Diagnostic data. Anonymous crash and error events to keep the App stable. No file contents are ever included.
  • Device permissions. Camera (for scanning) and File/Storage access are used only when you grant them and only on your device.

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide PDF tools — merge, split, OCR, scan, compress, edit, sign, watermark, fill forms.
  • To save your documents to your device library.
  • To answer AI Assistant questions you initiate.
  • To maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

3. Storage & Retention

Your files remain on your device unless you explicitly upload them to a connected service. You may delete any file from the Files tab at any time — deletion is immediate and irreversible. Account data is retained until you request deletion via the contact below.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only:

  • With service providers under contract (authentication, AI inference, hosting) strictly to operate the App;
  • When required by Indian law, court order, or to protect rights and safety;
  • With your explicit consent, e.g., when you choose to share or export a file.

5. Permissions We Request

  • Camera — to capture document scans. Revocable any time in device settings.
  • Storage / Files — to open and save PDFs you choose.
  • Notifications (optional) — to alert you when long operations finish.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

We use essential local storage (IndexedDB and localStorage) to keep your files, preferences, and session active. No third-party advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or your jurisdiction's equivalent minimum). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has shared data with us, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your Rights under DPDP Act 2023

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct or update inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion ("right to erasure").
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • File a grievance with us or the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards: HTTPS in transit, encrypted secrets on the server, and on-device storage that other apps cannot read. No method of internet transmission is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We update this Privacy Policy whenever the App's features, data flow, or permissions change. Each new release on Google Play or the web also updates this page and revises the effective date above. Please review it periodically.
